Video games are often labelled as nothing more than kids entertainment. A school in Sweden thinks otherwise as Minecraft has been used inside the classroom.
Minecraft has been added to the school curriculum to teach 13 year olds “about city planning, environmental issues, getting things done, and even how to plan for the future,” says a teacher at Viktor Rydberg (the school). The programme has been a “great success” and the school will be adding the game again to the school learning tools for the upcoming year.
The next time your parents say to you that you are “wasting” time playing Minecraft, just say to them that are actually learning and it could be beneficial for you in the future…
