The remake of the highly popular Nuketown map from the first Black Ops, Nuketown 2025, has been pulled form the online playlists in Black Ops 2. Game director David Vonderhaar stated on Twitter that “Double XP weekend is official over. That means Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 is as well. I know. RIGHT? Don’t kill the messenger.” The only way that you will be able to play the map now is by creating a custom game.
Vonderhaar also stated that “Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 will be back for special events.” When asked if the map would ever show up in regular playlists, he stated “Yeah. Probably eventually. We are talking that over internally.” Until they finally decide to put it in the rotation, try to enjoy the rest of the maps.
