Sony has announced that sales for the PS3 console has now reached over 70 million units worldwide.
This figure was achieved as of November 4th, 2012 and it reaches this milestone in less than six years it first went on sale.
Sony also revealed that it has sold over 15 million PlayStation Move controllers too. On the software front, over 3,590 games are available for the PS3 with sales of more than 595 million copies worldwide.
