Metal Gear Rising Revengeance is getting a limited edition version alongside the standard edition release next year. The above image hit the net recently and fans began instantly asking how much money they’d have to shell out for the katana blade plasma lamp. Thanks to Amazon, we no longer have to wonder.
The popular online retailer has added new listings for Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Limited Edition for both PS3 and Xbox 360. If you’re considering purchasing Metal Gear Rising LE — which comes with “a full copy of the game, official soundtrack, Limited Edition 2-sided Steelbook, and an exclusive high-frequency katana blade plasma lamp” — be prepared to watch your account drop by $149.99 (not including tax).
This price point isn’t unheard of for limited or collector’s editions, but I’m sure the willingness of many to spend that kind of cash is going to come down to the size and quality of that plasma lamp. Where do you currently stand on Metal Gear Rising’s limited edition: buy or pass? Let us know in the comment section below.

October 5, 2012 at 10:05 PMi’ve spent $100 for the hero edition of infamous 2 and got an awesome bookbag and bonus swag.. i can’t spend $150 for a game and a touch lamp.. the cable makes it look like a thin usb cable.. so i’m not sure why its 150.
