In an interview with CVG, Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli stated that the Wii U is as powerful as an Xbox 360.
“From my perspective I do not understand the public’s concerns that the Wii U is weaker than PS3 and 360,” he said. “That I cannot see. From my perspective the Wii U is minimum as powerful as Xbox 360.”
It’s worth noting he said at “minimum”. So once game developers get used to developing games for the Wii U, they may look better than most Xbox 360 games out there. Yerli likes the Wii U, although Crytek itself hasn’t announced any games that will be on the platform yet.
Another “respected” game developer that Yerli did not mention says a game they’r making looks great on the Wii U utilizing Crytek’s own CryEngine 3.
