Infinity Ward has confirmed that they have temporarily removed the Custom Game Mode download feature from Modern Warfare 3; on every platform.
Infinity Ward took to Twitter to clear up the reasoning behind disabling the featuring by stating, “We’re temporarily disabling download of Custom Game Modes across platforms in #MW3 until we can release the patch for the CMR mods exploit.”
So mods haven’t managed to break the game like hacks have before but they have at least broken one feature of Modern Warfare 3.
