Out of all the HVT’s, I found Hyena to be the easiest to complete. There isn’t a lot to him, nor is there much to really think about. Similar to most HVT’s, hes all about knowing where the traps are, so you shouldn’t fail with this guide.
Select your equipment, though it makes no real difference. I do however, strongly suggest something that explodes for your grenades. In any case, start the mission, but watch out for all the C4. There’s no easy way to transverse this area, so just explode the C4 till people come to you. Most likely you can kill most of the enemies just blowing up C4, but make sure to keep track of whats safe.
Once the room is cleared, head to the exit. You might still have a C4 here and if you do simply disarm it.
Follow the way point till you get here. Again, simply disarm the C4 to progress onward.
In the next area, be aware of this C4. Not only can it easily kill you, but it is also a great way to dispatch an enemy rushing you. Before you destroy it, make sure to kill the guy pictured here. He has an RPG and is extremely risky to leave alive.
Once the RPG guy is dead, make sure you know whats to your left. You most likely till alert a few guys, so make sure you stay where it’s safe. You do want them killed, because it’s way too much effort to disarm / avoid them successfully.
After clearing the previous room, head down the wall, but be aware of this C4. The first time I did this mission I died here, so it is easily missed.
After the hallway, you’re shown another C4 filled room. While there’s many ways to deal with this, I simply shoot them. This will alert the enemies, though it won’t be too much of a problem.
This is the only time I had bad equipment. Don’t get me wrong I still completed the area, though it was a lot harder. In any case, the problem is that theres two things of C4 on the opposite side of the monorail. You can see it disarmed in picture number two. This is a problem because you will constantly hear the warning, but have no clue where it is. Additionally, several enemies will rush you, so it’s very likely to die here. Oddly enough I didn’t in any of my attempts, though I strongly suggest having a frag to blow them up.
Immediately after the C4 monorail, you will find the HVT. This is the other reason you want to take care of that C4. Unlike most HVT’s, he doesn’t have waves of enemies to protect him. If you have a grenade, simply toss it at him. That will probably save you a headache, though I just shot him in the face. Once hes dead, head to the right to exit the mission.
