Advertising costs a lot. The WWE usually spends around $10 million to advertise WrestleMania each year. Sony however, spent $50 million to help spread the word about the PlayStation Vita.
This comes from Sony PlayStation’s creative director John Koller who told the New York Times about the cost of advertising the PS Vita. The big budget included advertising on billboards, online banner ads, TV commercials and even a twitter campaign with the hash tag #gamechanger.
As reported by Shacknews, commercials for the PS Vita could be seen during some of America’s most popular TV shows including The Simpsons, South Park and even during NBA games.
