Despite previous announcements from Sony that the PSVita will have a worldwide launch, MSN Money has reported that a 2011 release will only be in Japan.
Sony Corp. Executive Vice President Kazuo Hirai has stated that the PSVita will be releasing at the end of the year in Japan, with an early 2012 release for the U.S. and Europe.
He did not specify why the delay was made but this might dampened some gamers’ spirits if they wanted to purchase the device before Christmas. Nevertheless, a release date for the PSVita is likely to be made at the Tokyo Games Show this September.
