At a recent event hosted by Sony for 20 of the biggest UK games developers, Sony attempted to persuade developers to create cross-platform releases for the NGP and the PS3, according to GameIndustry.biz.
Sony attempted to persuade developers that the NGP is a device that compliments the PS3, rather than being a completely separate platform. Sony also claimed the NGP will be able to run PS3 games without any graphical changes.
The whole purpose of the event was to show developers the new features and hardware in an attempt to persuade them to back the platform. One of these rumoured features that might very well have been revealed to the developers is the introduction of cloud saving. This might mean a player could be playing a game on their PS3 at home and have to go out, and then carry on with their game by accessing the save data from the cloud. This could either be done through wifi or even the use of the confirmed 3G support. I personally think the NGP copy of a game needs to be bundled with it’s PS3 counterpart at a discount price for those players who own both platforms.

I don’t think for such a price the NGP should offer less than what it will.
