a February cover story in Game Informer reveals that the new Elder Scrolls will include; finishing moves, dual-wielding, and perks. Unfortunately, level-scaling is also coming back but with a tweaked version. Bethesda has commented by saying, “all our games have had some amount of randomness/leveling based on player level. Skyrim’s is similar to Fallout 3’s, not Oblivion’s.”
Game Informer has also included snippets of the story and characters that will be added in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim:
The story is to be set in a civil war 200 years after the events that have occurred in Oblivion in a snow realm north of Cyrodil, Skyrim.
There are ten races to choose from with fully customizable options. There has been no release on the certain types of races that are included in Skyrim.
There are 18 skills to choose from with a perk system familiar to Fallout 3.
The game will adjust itself according to how you play the game. If you are considering on using magic, expect that magic will be a heavy component in the game.
With five major cities and numerous other towns to explore, Skyrim is another adventure filled world that Bethesda is sure to enthrall us with.
The game is being developed and is hopefully going to be shipped out on November 11.
