Nintendo announced today that Brain Age, one of the best puzzle games for the Nintendo 3DS several years ago, will be getting a Switch version on December 27 in Japan for 3,480 Yen and will include an official Switch stylus accessory.
Just like in previous Brain Age games, the Switch training version will feature standard exercises for the brain; there will also be exercises to utilize the IR motion camera to read your hand motions, as well as two-player competitive exercises. Fans can look forward to new elements such as an alarm to schedule training, e-mail summaries, online leaderboards, and world tournaments have also been added.
When the game releases in Japan, please note that five total exercises that require the Joy-Con are not playable on Switch Lite and that the game is not compatible with paired Joy-Cons, the Joy-Con grip, or the Switch Pro Controller. It is unfortunately playable only with the Joy-Con facing sideways.
There’s currently no word yet if the game will be released in North America. For now, it’s only exclusive in Japan.
