A couple of weeks ago, there have been reports that Red Dead Redemption 2’s install size will be at least 100GB, and that’s pretty much for people who will be buying it digitally. Well, how about those who wants to purchase the game physically?
Based on the Japanese box art that leaked recently, one blu-ray disc will not be enough for the game. Since a single Blu-Ray disc capacity is only at 50GB, it’s obvious that if Red Dead Redemption 2 will indeed have 100GB worth of data, it’s about right that the game will use two discs.
Assuming that the game will come in two discs, one disc will be used to install the 50GB of data while the other will be used to play it. Unfortunately, nothing is official so far since there have been no official reports from Rockstar Games.
Since we are about a week away from its official release, we should have a confirmation soon.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be available worldwide on October 26, 2018 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The review embargo will be lifted on October 25th at 4:01 PT. As always check back with us on the release day for our coverage and review of the game.
Here’s an overview of the game:
Overview
America, 1899. The end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed.
After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.
From the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America at the dawn of the modern age.
