Before NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 releases this October, 2K Games is holding a closed beta for the game later this week. The closed beta will only be available to some gamers that get invited to it. Not to mention the beta is only for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
2K Games announced the closed beta for NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 over on the official website. You can read the full announcement posted below.
“NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 is launching worldwide on October 16th, but you can play sooner than that! You are invited to participate in our Closed Beta, starting Friday, September 28th and running through Sunday, September 30th.The Closed Beta will be available to users in North America only for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One. You’ll be able to play in Championship mode, where you can play with or against friends or other ballers in a 2v2 matchup, or team up to take on the AI in a 2vAI game. The Closed Beta will be playable on all 10 playgrounds that are available at the time of launch, including San Francisco, Seoul and Australia!”
2K Games notes that not everyone will be able to get an invite to the beta so don’t get too disappointed if you miss out. Not to mention Nintendo Switch and PC owners miss out on the beta entirely.
Here’s some more info below about NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 as posted in a previous press release. The game is out on October 16th, 2018 for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
“In addition, the game will boast well over 100 signature moves, including showstoppers like Michael Jordan’s free throw line dunk, George Gervin’s Iceman finger roll and LeBron James’ self alley-oop. There are also many new customization items, such as jackets, shirts, pants, shorts and shoes. In addition, NBA 2K Playgrounds 2’s soundtrack will feature licensed tracks from hit artists like Run The Jewels, Oddisee and DJ Premier.”
