The ESRB has now rated WWE 2K19 today giving us a few more details on the type of content you can expect to see when the game releases this October. The details may have even given us a clue on two wrestlers that will be in the game.
Anyway, WWE 2K19 has been rated T for teen and has the following content descriptors: “Alcohol Reference, Blood, Language, Suggestive Themes, Violence“.
The rating summary says: “This is a wrestling simulation game in which players select real-world competitors from the WWE roster, compete in matches, and progress through multiple storylines. Players can perform a variety of wrestling moves (e.g., throws, holds, grapples) as well as punch and kick opponents. Some matches allow players to use chairs, sledgehammers, and baseball bats to strike opponents. Blood sometimes appears on wrestlers’ bodies/faces after being struck repeatedly by objects. The game contains some suggestive material: female wrestlers wearing revealing outfits that expose deep cleavage; dialogue such as “You already know that the Godfather be pimping hoes” and “That’s more than I can say about the bimbo in the ring with those floatation devices pumped up to the max.” The dialogue and crowd signs also contain various references to alcohol (e.g., “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer”; “You still drunk from last night and wander your way into the wrong arena?”; “Beer 3:16“; “Beer Me”). The words “a*s,” “b*tch,” and “p*ssed off” appear in the dialogue, and one wrestler can be seen sticking out his middle finger.”
Looking more closely at the rating summary, the content suggests that Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Godfather will be in WWE 2K19. We should know about the roster very soon as 2K Games has now started slowly revealing more wrestlers that will be in this year’s game.
The game releases on October 9th, 2018 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The digital deluxe/collector’s edition of the game is releasing earlier on October 5th, 2018 on the same platforms.
