Following the rumors that Windows Central released about an Xbox All Access Program where gamers can finance their Xbox One S/X purchase, Microsoft finally unveiled full details about the program.
The Xbox All Access program is similar to what everyone is accustomed to when it comes to cellular phones contracts. Gamers can sign up for a monthly fee to get immediate access to an Xbox One S or Xbox One S with Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass. For those who don’t have the full money to pay it off or a credit card, Xbox All Access Program is pretty much the alternative.
For those interested for the Xbox One S, they can avail the console with 24 months Xbox Live Gold and 24 months Xbox Game Pass for a $21.99 a month and $34.99 for the Xbox One X. Gamers will simply have to pay the first month and you can walk out of the store with your spanking brand new Xbox One device. Unfortunately, the offer is only exclusive to United States and at Microsoft Stores.
Here’s the key features of the Xbox All Access Program:
- No upfront cost
- One low monthly price
- 0% APR for 24 months
- 24 months of Xbox Game Pass
- 24 months of Xbox Live Gold
If we were to breakdown the cost of the Xbox One X: a 2 years of Xbox Live Gold will run you about $120. While the two years of Game Pass will run about $240 for 24 months and the Xbox One X at $500. That is a total of about $860, whereas if you sign up and do the Xbox All Access Program, it would run at about $840- which is a little bit cheaper.
For the Xbox One S, it is found normally in stores at $230 and with the two services at $360, it has a total of $590. With the Xbox All Access Program, it will net around $528, which is a huge saving compared to the Xbox One X deal.
Between the two bundles, I prefer the Xbox One X over the Xbox One S as the X is more future proof, allowing you play upcoming games in 4K.
In all honesty, Microsoft is on the right track to get everyone onboard with the Xbox One platform. The monthly fee is insanely affordable but please note that you need to have a good credit as financing will be handled by Dell.
