4A Games and Deep Silver announced today that Metro Exodus will be receiving the ‘Aurora Limited Edition’ when it launches in 2019.
According to Deep Silver, the Aurora Limited Edition will be in limited supply and will only be sold at select retailers. Those who will be getting the digital version of the game can opt to get the ‘Gold Edition’, which will include the copy of the game and the Expansion pass.
The ‘Aurora Limited Edition’ will include the following items:
– A copy of the game inside of a Steelbook case
– A 32-page artbook
– A Metro Exodus Expansion pass
The contents of the Aurora Limited Edition will come inside a metal outer case inspired by The Aurora – the steam locomotive that Artyom and his companions use to journey across post-apocalyptic Russia.
As for the contents of the Expansion pass, it’s still to be determined. From the statement of A4 via Deep Silver, they “intends to commence work on additional single player content as soon as the game has gone ‘Gold’ and will continue to support the title with updates and free downlodable content,”
In addition, gamers can now pre-order both the standard and limited edition and receive the following items:
– All Xbox One pre-oders, physical or digital, will include a copy of Metro 2033 Redux remastered for the Xbox One.
– All PlayStation 4 pre-orders, physical or digital, will include a PS4 dynamic theme based on the Metro Exodus “Winter” artwork
– All physical PC pre-orders and Steam pre-orders will include a digital art book and the Metro Exodus original soundtrack.
