Ubisoft has revealed that it has stopped developing the Nintendo Switch version of Steep. This is to add more features to the existing PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
Ubisoft revealed this surprising bit of news earlier today on the official Steep Twitter page. You can read their full announcement posted below.
“Hey @RJISAGAMER! We are wholly dedicated to supporting the live game, and made the decision to stop Steep development on the Nintendo Switch platform to focus on bringing new live content and challenges to Steep players instead. We’ll have more exciting news to share soon.”
Steep came out back in late 2016 and was an always online game. The game is quite fun mainly because you can do many activities in various countries around the world. Sadly, Ubisoft still has no definite plans to release the game on the Nintendo Switch and this further delay isn’t going to go well for those that have been waiting for it since launch.
At this point, it looks like Ubisoft doesn’t care about the Nintendo Switch version of the game. That’s a bit of a shame, but the Switch version is not cancelled yet. To know more about Steep, you can read the full overview of the game posted below from the official website of the game.
