Nioh came out last year and was Team Ninja’s attempt to make a hard but fun game much like Bloodborne and the Dark Souls series. Despite the high difficulty of the game, it seems many people loved the challenged and bought the game as fast as they could.
Team Ninja made the proud announcement on Twitter by saying: “Thank you everyone for continuing to #DefyDeath. Nioh has now sold over 2 million copies worldwide! Were you able to find all the Kodama during your journey?”
The game originally came out as a PS4 exclusive only but then eventually got released on the PC later in the year. Much like Dark Souls, people like watching the game online too to see how hard the gameplay is like.
Team Ninja has already released all of the post-launch DLC for the game so it’s possible they developer is working on an inevitable sequel as we speak. Hopefully an announcement for a potential sequel will be announced next month at E3 2018!
