April 2018 belonged to Sony when it came to software and hardware charts because God of War and the PS4 console itself were the top sellers last month.
Reset Era’s ZhugeEX broke down the NPD reports and predictably, God of War was the best selling game last month. The game beat out Far Cry 5 and MLB The Show 18 which were the next best sellers of the month. You can check out the top 10 listed below.

The PS4 was the best selling console for April 2018 and it is still the best selling platform of 2018 to date. In terms of unit sales, April 2018 was the highest for a console since April 2009 back for the original Nintendo Wii console.
The Limited Edition God of War PS4 Pro bundle was one of the biggest sellers of the month. Overall hardware spending is up 14% compared to the same period last year. May 2018 could also see a rise for PS4 thanks to the release of Detroit: Become Human out soon.
