Bandai Namco has now announced the newest fighter joining the growing roster of Soulcalibur VI. Fans will be happy to know that the character of Siegfried is returning to the franchise for one more time.
Bandai Namco announced the character’s inclusion via a press release. Siegfried has always been a fan favorite as he previously featured in Soul Edge, Soulcalibur, Soulcalibur II, Soulcalibur III, Soulcalibur IV and also Soulcalibur V.
Here’s a small description of the character as outlined in the press release: “After losing to Kilik and his comrades in the form of Nightmare, Siegfried awoke in an unfamiliar place and he is now unable to free himself from the unforgiving memories of his time spent as the cursed sword’s puppet. The memory of having killed his own father is haunting him. His true nightmare has only just begun…Full of regrets, he is looking for redemption and he desperately wants to free himself from the cursed sword’s grasp!”
Soulcalibur VI will be released later this year for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. No official release date has been announced yet, but Bandai Namco promises it will be out in 2018. You can check out the reveal trailer posted down below.
