Square Enix has now released the first ever update patch for the PC Steam version of ‘Chrono Trigger’. Many of the updates that have been made today is based on user feedback.
Square Enix announced the new update features in a new press release. You can see the new details of it down below.
- Original Graphics: A new option will allow players to choose between the current high-resolution character sprites and background graphics, or a new ‘Original’ mode which is more in-line with the original style of CHRONO TRIGGER.
- Updated Font and Dialogue Boxes: Fonts and dialogue window graphics are updated to give the game a more classic look and feel.
- New Start-Up: The order of the animated opening sequences when starting a new game are reworked to be more in line with previous versions of the game.
- Additional enhancements and fixes to the text and graphics within the game to enhance the PC play experience.
Square Enix promises the game will have further updates in the future to further improve the gameplay experience for PC users. The Limited Edition of the game has also been extended and will be available until April 30th, 2018. The Limited Edition includes lots of extra goodies not available in the standard version.
