Epic Games’ Fortnite is taking over the world with the game now releasing on iOS. Thanks to the iOS release of the game, Epic is making even more money from the game than they had originally imagined.
As noted by SensorTower, their statistics show that Fortnite on iOS is now earning over $1.8 million per day. In the past seven days in the USA, the game has earned an amazing $6.4 million. This is more than the games of Candy Crush Saga, Clash of Clans and Pokemon Go. Those three games earned $5.8 million, $4.1 million and $2.7 million respectively.
Bear in mind, Fortnite Battle Royale is a free to play video game so all of its revenue comes from cosmetic microtransactions. This includes extra costumes for your character, weapons skins, emotes and dances just to name a few.
Not to mention this is just revenue earned by the game on iOS. Money is already pouring in from players that are playing in on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. It does not stop there because the game will soon hit Android devices later this year too. There’s no Nintendo Switch version of Fortnite yet, but it could happen if mobile version of the game can be made.
