To celebrate the release of Dragon Ball FighterZ next week, Bandai Namco is hosting a celebrity tournament featuring some famous people that love gaming.
The official Bandai Namco Facebook page announced the following: “4 FighterZ enter but there can only be one winner. Join us for the LAUNCH LIVESTREAM of #DRAGONBALLFighterZ!! We’ll have Maximilian Dood, Rhymestyle, Demetrious Johnson, and Xavier Woods fighting it out live! Catch all the hard-hitting action on Thursday Jan. 25th at 2pm PST! On our Twitch channel! https://bandainam.co/DBFZStream”
Maximilian Dood is my pick to win the tournament because he has his own YouTube channel that focuses solely on fighting games. 2D style fighting games is his specialty and I reckon the other guys will have a hard time beating him.
If this was a real fight, Demetrious Johnson would win mainly because he’s a UFC fighter. I’m not sure how good he is at video games, but he must be quite good for Bandai Namco to invite him over.
Rhymestyle is probably the least famous name here, but Dragon Ball fans might know him. This is because he pretty much has a YouTube Channel that focuses on Dragon Ball content. He covers the video games, anime, manga and more.
As for who I want to win, it should be Xavier Woods. Woods is a WWE wrestler but he owns a gaming YouTube channel called UpUpDownDown. He’s quite good at video games, although I think he will have a hard time beating Maximilian Dood. That said, Woods is arguably the most famous person in this celebrity tournament and is sure to be the fan favorite.
The full game of Dragon Ball FighterZ releases for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms on January 26th, 2018. As of right now, there aren’t any current plans for a Nintendo Switch version.
