EA Sports has now released a new patch for Madden 18 on PS4 and Xbox One. This is version number 1.09 and it should be rolling out right now for all players that own the game.
The patch notes were revealed on the official Madden 18 website. You can look at all the official details posted down below.
Gameplay Updates
- Substantial reduction to fake-outs for user controlled defenders when defending ball carrier special moves
- Slight reduction to fake-outs for AI controlled defenders when defending ball carrier special moves
- Addressed an issue that was causing some AI controlled ball carriers to move slowly and/or not perform special moves
- Tuned to decrease range of width on kickoffs to address the kickoff exploit that could force returners out of bounds inside their own five-yard line
Developer Note: Players have given us feedback that they’d like more control when clicked-on to a defender in pursuit. We wanted to provide more opportunities for both user-controlled and AI-controlled defenders to make tackles vs. jukes and spins.
EA Sports continues to support the game up until the release of Madden 19 later this year. Be sure to make room on your PS4 and Xbox One’s hard drive because this will be far from the last update that you will need to download.
Not to mention EA Sports continues to update the rosters based on real life events. Roster updates will happen for only one more month until the real NFL season ends this February with Super Bowl 52.
Madden 18 is out now for PS4 and Xbox One. It will be interesting to see if EA will release Madden on Nintendo Switch in the near future. The Switch is selling like hotcakes and EA will miss a big opportunity not releasing a portable version of Madden.
