Bandai Namco has now revealed that Tekken 7 has now sold over 2 million copies worldwide. It is one of the best selling fighting games to come out this year.
Tekken 7’s Katsuhiro Harada, confirmed this news on Twitter by saying: “Over 2 million now (2017 June to September)“. This number is for console versions, so the number could be a little bit higher for those that bought the game on Steam PC.
The game was received well by both fans and critics and selling over 2 million copies is better than what Capcom has mustered so far with both Street Fighter V and Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.
The seventh Tekken game is sure going to be supported in the long term. New DLC will be dropping in the next couple of months and many people still play the game online on a daily basis.
