Microtransactions have become a burden in modern gaming, but gamers around the world will be happy to know that Horizon: Zero Dawn won’t have them at all in any capacity.
Guerrilla Games confirmed on Twitter: “There will be no micro transactions in #HorizonZeroDawn“. The game is a single player action-adventure title so it kind of makes sense for it not to have any microtransactions.
Microtransactions have become the norm when it comes to free-to-play video games released on iOS and Android. They usually limit gameplay and you have to pay to get more benefits.
More recently though, AAA video games have jumped on the microtransaction bandwagon. Online multiplayer games usually have them in order for you to spend extra money on cosmetic extras.
Thankfully, you don’t have to worry about any of that when Horizon: Zero Dawn releases on the PS4 later this year. You can expect to own it on February 28th, 2017 in North America and March 1st, 2017 in Europe.
