Zenimax Online Studios announced today that players interested in The Elder Scrolls Online can play the game for free starting on December 10 until Monday, December 14 for both Xbox One and PC/Mac.
For Xbox One users, gamers will need a Xbox Live Gold Subscription and from 3AM PST of Thursday, December 10, the client will be available for download free of charge. As for the PC/Mac version, gamers can download the game for free now, but you’ll need a Free Play weekend code from a friend to unlock the game this weekend.
Oh, here’s a friendly reminder for those who wants to be a millionaire by simply playing the game:
If you decide to purchase ESO before the Free Play Weekend concludes on December 14th at 3am EST, not only will you save 60% on the game but all your progress from the weekend will carry over! In addition, you’ll be entered to win $1 million (USD). Be sure to visit our contest page for rules and additional information.
Just for this weekend, crowns will be on sale for both platforms:
1,500 crown packs will be 25% off
3,000 crown packs will be 33% off
5,500 crown packs will be 40% off
Unfortunately, PS4 owners aren’t included in this week’s free play weekend event, though Sony says it hopes to have a similar offer “in the near future”.
