Activision have once more shown what a bunch of money-hungry idiots they are. Several video game retailers have listed Call of Duty: Black Ops with the recommended retail price of £54.99, which is equal to roughly $83.22 USD.
It’s a well-known fact that European gamers pay more for their gaming fix than North American gamers. Call of Duty games always have a high price tag (I still see copies of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare go for £39.99 in shops) but this is going over the limit. My Final Fantasy XIII Limited Collector’s Edition cost fifty quid, and Activision are expecting us to pay five pounds more than that for a normal copy of Black Ops? No thank you.
Fear not, however, as most sensible retailers have knocked a quid or ten off the price, making it much more reasonable. I apologize for the rant by the way, it always annoys me when Activision think they can get away with stuff like this.
