In the updated version of the Final Fantasy VII Remake Boxart, Square Enix confirmed via a label that the game will be timed exclusive to PlayStation 4 until March 3, 2021.
This makes that it’s very possible, and likely, that Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released on Xbox One and PC after the timed exclusive deal lapses. If it is, then Xbox One and PC owners will have to wait for one whole year before they get to play Final Fantasy VII Remake.
Here’s an overview of the game, via the PlayStation Store:
A spectacular reimagining of one of the most visionary games ever, FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE rebuilds and expands the legendary RPG for today.
The first entry in a multi-part saga, delivering a level of depth inconceivable for the original. The mind-blowing story, unforgettable characters, epic battles, and technical excellence collide.
The world has fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as mako energy.
In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic consequences that await him.
No indications yet pointing of other versions but the PS4 version will be released on March 3, 2020. Let’s hope that Square Enix will announce other platforms in the near future. Who wouldn’t want Final Fantasy VII Remake on PC, or Switch?
