Today marks the day PC gamers have been waiting for – Red Dead Redemption 2 is finally out on PC. As with all PC titles that have a huge online component, there’s always a chance difficulties can happen and it’s no different with Red Dead Redemption 2. Players who have been experiencing crashes when launching the game, here’s a simple Red Dead Redemption 2 crash fix guide.
PC gamers who have just bought Red Dead Redemption 2 and have encountered the first loading screen, there’s a chance it will crash, booting them out of the game. When players click the “Play” button from the Rockstar Games PC launcher, a pop up will be greet players after the first loading screen that says, “The Rockstar Games Launcher exited unexpectedly.” Luckily, Rockstar Games has been looking into the issue all day and has managed to figure out the most common source of the launcher error – an out of date graphics.
To fix the crashing issue for Red Dead Redemption 2, players must update their drivers and running the RDR2.exe file as an administrator in the Rockstar Launcher. To make the RDR2.exe file run as an administrator, players must search through the source folder of the game.

1.Open the Rockstar Games Launcher
2.Select Settings
3.Select Red Dead Redemption 2 under My installed games
4.Select Open under View Installation Folder
5.Right-Click on RDR2
6.Select Properties
7.Under the Compatibility Tab
8.Select Run this Program as an Administrator and Disable Full Screen Optimization
9.Click OK
