As we get closer to Halloween, there are a frightening number of exciting games set to release. These include Disgaea 4 Complete+, Resident Evil 5 and 6, a Harvest Moon spin off, a brand new Atelier game, Luigi’s Mansion 3 and more.
As fans will tell you, Disgaea 4 is one of the best games in the franchise and it’s an absolute delight to see Disgaea 4 Complete+ finally release. We loved it, so much so that it actually scored an Editor’s Choice award and extremely high marks.
Joining it is Harvest Moon: Mad Dash. This spin off might not look terribly exciting but it was one of the most exciting things we got to play at E3. Whether that is enough to sustain a full release has yet to be seen but it will be nice to see regardless. But, if you’re looking for something that light and fun, Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & The Secret Hideout added some neat things to the franchise and proved to be a lot of fun.
Finally, those looking for games to play in honor of Halloween have Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Resident Evil 5 and 6 on Switch. While Luigi’s Mansion 3 is an unexpected but totally welcome sequel for the franchise, it will be interesting to see if it pays off or not. As for Resident Evil, both are proven games that are welcome additions to the portable platform.
