Nintendo announced today that an updated version of the original Nintendo Switch with updated battery life is coming soon.
According to the official website of Nintendo, the updated Nintendo Switch (HAC-001(01) will run about 4.5 to 9 hours and lasts approximately 5.5 hours when playing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild – compared to the old Switch, which only runs about 2.5 to 6.5 hours and lasts about three hours when playing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild .

Approximately 4.5 – 9 hours*The battery life will depend on the games you play. For instance, the battery will last approximately 5.5 hours for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Unfortunately, this is not the Switch Pro many are anticipating but rather a refresh of the original Switch. The new model is expected to launch in late August in Japan and early September in Europe. no release date yet for Nintendo however.
I’m definitely down for a the updated Nintendo Switch that has longer battery life!
We should hear more about this updated Switch from Nintendo of America soon, especially its release date. It’s more likely releasing very soon.
