After debuting on Xbox One and PC via Origin several years ago, Electronic Arts or EA has finally launched its much awaited subscription service called EA Access on the PlayStation 4.
For $5 a month or $30 a year, PS4 owners who will subscribe to their service will get unlimited access to a range of games from EA’s vault, including Fifa 19, Battlefield V, A Way Out, Titanfall 2, Mirror’s Edge, Catalyst, and The Sims 4. The library of games continue to grow in the latest months as games like FIFA 20 and Madden NFL 20 becomes available.
“As we continue to invest in digital and subscription services, bringing great games to even more players across more platforms is an exciting opportunity for everyone,” said Matt Bilbey, Executive VP of Strategic Growth. “Our goal is to give players more choice to try and play our games wherever and however they choose, and we’re happy to bring EA Access to PlayStation 4.”
In addition to access to their games, EA Access also offers about one week of early access through Play First trials. They are usually available for play a week early before EA officially releases them. Your progress on the trial will carry over to the full version of the game and it will unlock achievements or trophies. Also, the service offers 10 percent off discount on digital purchases on games and DLC.
