Rage 2 was the best selling game of the week in the UK, although sales of the game weren’t too high. This is because the game sold far less copies compared to the first Rage game back in October 2011.
Despite being the best selling game of the week. Rage 2 only managed to sell just one quarter of the sales of the original game as reported by Game Industry.
Bear in mind, sales only account for physical sales of the game. It’s possible digital sales of the game were higher, although the sequel would have still sold less than the original.
Bethesda isn’t a company that likes to share digital sales so it’s hard to see the true sales of the game. What we do know is that Rage 2 sold best on PS4 with 57% market share. Next up it’s 38% on Xbox One and 5% on PC.
There was not much in terms of new releases this week. A Plague’s Tale: Innocence debuted at number 9 on the charts while Sniper Elite Version 2 only came in at number 13.
An interesting game that re-entered the charts is Sea of Thieves which placed at number 40. This is due to the game being included with the all-digital Xbox One console.
