The Pokemon Company is pleased to announce Pokemon Masters today, a new Pokemon mobile game that is coming soon on both iOS and Android devices.
Pokemon Masters is different from Niantic’s Pokemon Go as this time, the game is now more of the traditional Pokemon RPG that allows you to battle famous trainers from past Pokemon games- like the Gym Leaders.
In the trailer that they have shown, a trainer with three Pokemon partnering up Brock and Misty are fighting other trainers. From the interface during battle, it showed a Pikachu with two skills, with two remaining slots where other skills can be learned at some point. Based on what is seen on the trailer, it looks very similar to what Pokemon fans have been playing for the past years. Since this is a mobile game, we can expect gacha.
According to The Pokemon Company, the game will cater the casual gamers but will offer a unique Pokemon experience.
