In a reddit post made on the Ghost Recon subreddit, Ubisoft apparently posted an image of the “Wolves Collector’s Edition” for the unannounced Ghost Recon: Breakpoint earlier today before removing it again.
Officially to be announced tomorrow, May 9, it seems that the new Ghost Recon game will not be Wildlands after all but Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. A world premier announcement will be released tomorrow.
Several hours following the leak of the Wolves Collector’s Edition image on the subreddit, following information has been provided as well via Game Pressure and Reset Era:
- The official title is Ghost Recon: Breakpoint
- The official release date is October 4
- There will be no Switch version as it will only be released for PC, Xbox One, and PS4
- Cole D. Walker, the character played by Jon Bernthal, is the main antagonist, who has gone rogue with an army of weaponized drones
- It’s similar to Ghost Recon: Wildlands which is story driven and features four-player co-op.
- The Wolves Collector’s Edition is a Ubi-Store exclusive which will include the following: a 24-centimeter figure of Cole, a map, art book, Year 1 Pass, “Ultimate Pack” (missions, vehicles, cosmetics, and early class unlocks), and three days early access
We expect more information to be revealed tomorrow, May 9. Stay tuned.
