Le Scorpion Masqué has just announced a very special print and play expansion for their hit title Decrypto!
Decrypto is a word based party game, which was released in 2018 and designed by Thomas Dagenais-Lespérance. The game sees 3 – 8 players split into two teams, attempting to send and intercept codes. These are in turn used guess clue words. This special expansion is a small deck of cards isn’t in English, French, Spanish, Chinese… it is in Klingon!
Yes, you read that right, the entire deck is Klingon words in Klingon symbols. Now I’m partial to a spot of Star Trek as much as the next person, though it is slightly above my level. Nevertheless, for those whom speak Klingon this could take an amazing party game to an insane level.
Le Scorpion Masqué would like to point out that “This deck of cards is not a standalone, you need the original Decrypto box to play it (and a solid knowledge of Klingon language). This is a free print and play, share it freely.” As hinted at the cards are in the same style as the basic Decrypto cards so need to be placed behind the red windows of the Decrypto stands for the symbols to be seen. To take a look or print it out head to the official Le Scorpion Masqué website.
This is a short excerpt from our review of the base game, read the full review here:
“Unlike a lot of clue giving games the task here is to be vague and not go for the best, most obvious, clues. It might not always be easy to guess what words the other team have. However, one thing is obvious Decrypto will continue to hit the table with family and friends alike!”
