Arguably the hardest thing about World War Z is improving your arsenal. It isn’t enough to have a high level or the best class for a situation, you also need the weapons to back it up. This is done through leveling, which in turn means you need to use each or at least many weapons extensively to level them. Thankfully, there are some good spots to do this.
While World War Z is not shy about giving players multiple locations to kill hoards of zombies, one of the best is at the end of the last chapter of the third episode, Battle of Nerves.
What makes this spot great is the fact you have high ground and can kill almost everything without fear of getting killed. You could quite honestly spend hours here and unless you get unlucky, be perfectly fine. Plus, it has a sequence you need to finish, so there isn’t much that the game can do to stop you from just farming it.
Another good place is chapter 4’s Final Call. There are a couple things that make this spot so great.
The dock makes it so hostile forces can only attack you from one direction and there is a resupply not too far from it. From there, enemies come in distinct waves, so it’s entirely possible to kill them, run to get supplies and repeat until you get board, things prove difficult or you have other things to do.
Another great part about this spot is how few major enemies appear. Typically it isn’t the normal zombies that get you but the ones that grab and finish you off. This makes it easier to get survive, kill and overwhelm foes without anything negatively impacting you.
If this spot doesn’t work for you, in the third chapter there is a mission called Key to the City, which makes it really easy to level too. Lots of narrow locations and plenty of things to kill.
