As many guessed, the announcement Gearbox Software teased on March 28, 2019 was for Borderlands 3. Given yesterdays prelude trailer, featuring a number of characters, updated looks and more, it was pretty obvious, but this doesn’t stop fans from being excited… at least for a little bit.
The trailer, found above, feels less like the manic and crazy Borderlands players love, at least in the first minute or so, and more like a nice pitch. We see a variety of exciting locations, returning characters and things we should be excited for, without that extra step that makes them exciting.
These would be an idea of scale, depth of these locations or even which platforms it’s set to release on. Most of these things will likely be addressed when they reveal more information on April 3, 2019 and the future but for now, at least we can be happy that it’s finally happening.
