Koei Tecmo has now announced several more fighters that will be a part of the Dead or Alive 6. Several fighters are returning from past games, while we also see an announcement for a brand new original character.
Returning favorites in Dead or Alive 6 will include the likes of La Mariposa and also Kokoro. However, a brand new character named NiCO has also been announced. She’s got funky looking blue hair, glasses and deadly martial art moves.
Koei Tecmo has provided a little biography for each of the three characters that were announced today. You can read the details below as posted on the Dead or Alive Facebook page.
Character Announcement
NiCO is the second original character to make her debut in DEAD OR ALIVE 6. The new character was on display for the first time this past weekend inside the DEAD OR ALIVE Festival in Tokyo. NiCO, known as “The Lightning Technomancer” is a practitioner of Pencak Silat, a historic martial art of Southeast Asia. She employs powerful plasma discharges in her attacks, boosting her Pencak Silat strikes to another level, while at the same time using her EMF Rings to move at ultrahigh rates of speed.
Joining NiCO in the latest reveal is Helena’s half-sister, Kokoro. A master of Ba Ji Quan, Kokoro uses a combination of elbow and palm thrusts to compliment an array of throws aimed at destroying her opponent’s balance. Graceful, yet powerful, Kokoro’s fighting style incorporates the hard and soft elements that represent the spirit she has refined through her maiko training.
Also returning is La Mariposa, who excels at aerial attacks, also known as “The immortal butterfly”. Under the mask, however, the professional wrestler is really Lisa Hamilton, who was a DOATEC researcher, at one time conducted experiments on the ninja Hayate, and although it was rumored that she had retired after the 5th Tournament, La Mariposa is back, deadlier than ever.
Two new stages is also being added to the game called ‘Zero’ and MIYABI which is a hidden garden. You can check out the characters and stages in the new trailer posted below. Dead or Alive 6 will be out on February 15th, 2019 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
