Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 may have come out two years ago, but the game is still getting new fighters and a lot of content years after its release. Today, we can reveal that a version of Broly will be releasing sometime in the near future after the movie comes out.
As seen in the latest issue of V Jump magazine in Japan (via Siliconera), it has been revealed that a full powers Super Saiyan version of Broly will be added to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as DLC sometime in the near future. There has been no news yet if a base Broly will be added though.
The DLC will be based on Broly’s appearance in the new movie called Dragon Ball Super: Broly. The movie itself is out in Japan on December 14th, 2018 with an early 2019 release date for the rest of the world. The movie now officially adds Broly to the official canon of the Dragon Ball timeline. Prior to this movie, Broly was just featured in a spin-off movie that wasn’t a part of the official canon.
The new Broly will have a cool move in the game that’s featured in the movie. It’s possible another new character will be added to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as well, although this information will not be revealed until after the movie comes out.
Some other things that will be available in a future update is a new Tournament of Power Stage. There will also be a Broly wig and a Santa outfit for your avatar in an upcoming Winter update that should be available soon.
More official details will be posted by Bandai Namco at a later date. The Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie looks very cool and it’s great that movie content will be added to the various video games. Anyway, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is out now for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
