One of the most hardest matches to do in WWE 2K19’s MyPlayer career mode is winning an 8-man Battle Royal. It’s tricky mainly because you can get eliminated at any time and the A.I. can be relentless no matter what difficulty you are playing the game.
Anyway if you are new to wrestling, a Battle Royal is when wrestlers fill up the ring and your goal is to pretty much eliminate everyone else. You do this by throwing them over the top rope. This is easier said than done because they can chuck you over the top rope any time they wish too!
To win this match you need to have a lot of patience and know when to attack the right wrestler. If you stand by the ropes too closely, don’t be surprised if the A.I. does something out of the ordinary and clothelines you out of the ring.
In terms of how to win, I like to focus on one wrestler at a time. You can press the R3 button (press down right stick) to manually target a specific wrestler. Use strikes or lots of grapples to get their health down. The lower their health, the easier it is for you to eliminate a wrestler. Just drag them to the ropes and do the button mashing mini-game.
Don’t bother trying to eliminate wrestlers if they have full health. They will pretty much escape and you’ll just be wasting time. The key to how I won the match was earning lots of finishers in a small amount of time. If you Irish Whip (toss) an opponent to the ropes or turnbuckles, you can press Triangle (Y) to eliminate them easily without resorting to the button mashing mini-game.
I managed to earn lots of finishers and eliminated most of the wrestlers with ease. Make sure you save enough finishers as you want to earn them and get rid of wrestlers quickly. Finishers are the easiest way to eliminate wrestlers because they cannot fight back to get inside the ring again. Sometimes you can also just sit and wait because the A.I. will eliminate themselves too!
You may have to have a lot of patience and skills to overcome the WWE 2K19 Battle Royal, but with enough practice you should be able to complete it. Just make sure you to keep moving as being stationary will allow wrestlers to grapple you easily – making it easier for them to throw you over the top rope.
