The Hell in a Cell match has slightly been changed in WWE 2K19. Some new features have been added, while sadly some other features have been completely removed. This guide will give you an indication on what you can and cannot do in Hell in a Cell matches.

Let’s start off by taking about what you cannot do in WWE 2K19 Hell in a Cell matches. The most disappointing omission this year is the fact that you can no longer grab weapons from under the ring. The only type of weapon that you can grab are the ring steps in the corners of the ring.
2K Games has not mentioned why weapons are not available in Hell in a Cell matches, but the WWE gaming community are urging them to fix this with future update patches. If you try and press L1 (left bumper) outside the ring, your wrestler does not grab a weapon like before.
Another thing worth mentioning is that for console players (PS4 and Xbox One), the only default color for the Hell in a Cell is grey. You cannot select the red color as seen in real life because that feature was added way after the game was in development. The only way to acquire a red Hell in a Cell color is if you play the game on PC and add a mod to it.
Anyway as for what you can do in Hell in a Cell matches, you can fight on the outside of the ring and walk around all four sides of the cage this year. You can even fight on the sides of the cage if you climb up.
The best way to escape the Hell in a Cell cage is by using an ‘OMG Finisher’. When you have a finisher stored, chuck your opponent to the south end of the cage and toss them to the side. They should rest and give you an opportunity to powerbomb them out of the cage.
After you have done that, you should be able to press L1 (Left bumper) and the direction stick to climb. The climb to the top, press L1 (left bumper) again so you can walk on the roof.
The roof of the Cell is similar to previous years, although now the design is more realistic. You can do wrestling moves on the roof and the panels will break if you slam your opponent hard enough. To win a Hell in a Cell match, you can win by pinfall or submission inside the ring. You cannot pin anywhere like a Falls Count Anywhere match!
