While most players are enjoying Red Dead Redemption 2, that won’t stop others from releasing their products. In fact, despite the huge release, there are a couple really exciting games releasing this week.
First and foremost we have Taiko no Tatsujin. This is the first one to come to the west since the PlayStation 2 and brings all the improvements Japan has seen over the years. Complete with a variety of fun genres, including gaming, anime, Japanese pop, classics and originals, it offers a lot for players to experience. That being said, in a surprisingly move, both the PlayStation and Switch versions release on the same day. While this is normally a very common occurrence, they’re actually different games, with their own advantages and disadvantages.
If Japanese rhythm games aren’t your thing, there is also Diablo III: Eternal Collection for the Switch. It’s the latest in Nintendo’s ongoing effort to bring major titles to the platform and will be exciting to see how that works out for them. Even if it isn’t perfect, the ability to play on the go is a massive win for most people and should help make it a success.
Those without a Switch can also look forward to The Quiet Man. It looks to be quite the interesting title, with a couple mechanics that give it a fair amount of replayability. Whether it lives up to the hype or not has yet to be seen, though it should still be exciting to see.
