Microsoft announced today that four games from Valve Software; Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Portal and The Orange Box, are now backwards compatible on Xbox One. In addition, they are also enhanced for Xbox One X to support higher resolution and enhanced visuals.
For those who have an Xbox One X, players can play these four games at higher resolution and nine times the original pixel count. If you have seen the amount of detail the original Red Dead Redemption got, you now know the boost in graphics these four games received.

The Orange Box is a special collection of “five games in one box,” first available in winter 2007 for PC and Xbox 360. The five games included in The Orange Box are:
- Half-Life 2: Episode Two – The second installment in Valve’s episodic trilogy. Episode Two advances the award-winning Half-Life story, while introducing new characters, weapons and environments.
