KOEI Tecmo is pleased to announce today that Dynasty Warriors 8 will be coming to Switch later this year in Japan.
The Switch version of Dynasty Warriors 8 will be the Complete Edition that features all downloadable contents such as scenarios, costumes, and items. The Switch version will also be compatible with the same data of other Warriors title on Switch such as Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires, Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada, Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate, and Warriors Orochi 4. Details on the what bonuses will be unlocked for having the said saved data will be announced at a later date.
Currently, Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition DX is only exclusive to Japan. There’s no word yet if it will make it to western territories.
Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition DX will be released in both physically and digitally on December 27 in Japan for 6,800 Yen. The digital version will be available at a 10% discount price for the first two weeks of release.
For newcomers, Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends first launched for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in November 2013, followed by PlayStation 4 in February 2014 and PC in May 2014. Since there’s no word yet if it’s coming to North America, gamers are better off getting the PS4 version.
