One of the best things about the Blackout mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is the ability for you to pilot a helicopter. It’s useful because it allows you to travel to the safe zone quickly. Not to mention if you are with partners, you can pick them up and they can shoot at enemies that come near you and your helicopter.
Anyway, thanks to a Reddit user by the name of jespergran, he has uncovered most of the locations that the helicopter spawns at. Bear in mind, the locations can change at anytime because the helicopters don’t always appear at the same locations all of the time.
Helicopters usually spawn at the Nuketown Island, Construction Site, Estates, the Cargo Docks, Factory, by the Firing Range and lastly at Turbine. Turbine is the location that I use a lot because it’s the safest area and not many players usually visit this location. I pretty much land here in every game and can grab a helicopter quite quickly.
You can look at the locations in the picture provided down below. There might be other locations on the map, but these are the ones that seem to be the most common areas.
Bear in mind the helicopter is only pretty useful in the Quads or Duos mode since you can have passengers to shoot for you. In Solo mode, you are pretty much just driving the helicopter around, but have no option to shoot anyone. You can however try to crash into another helicopter if you see another person flying around too!
Be careful when you are flying the helicopter though because people on the ground can target you with missile launchers! If you hear an alarm, you may want to land as soon as possible to try and avoid it. If not, it’s game over and you will explode to your death!
