Community Continuer! was always destined to be a tedious and awful trophy/achievement. This task requires players to push a level past 500, a feat that involves pushing a level 80 stage 14 different times. What makes this task so daunting isn’t the 500 stages, but rather, the chance someone can join your quest and choose to kill the boss. Due to Next Up Hero‘s pointless expiration timer, several people decided to boost the featured playlist, a choice Digital Continue Owner and Executive Producer Joseph Tringali said wouldn’t work.
“Someone should start a Venture to get the 500 achieve,” said Tringali. “The Featured one (with the infinity symbols) isn’t going to work.”
Since very few users look at the official Discord, much less search for something like that, the Aspyr’s Featured Playlist surpassed 500 stages and gave one lucky user the trophy. Unlike a normal level, which should’ve ended and awarded everyone who participated the trophy, this one did not. Instead, players can continue to play normally and progress towards the boss. This is important for two reasons. It allows players to farm an absurd amount of cash, medals and rare accessories with minimal effort (I got over a million prestige in about 10 minutes) and should give anyone who beats the boss the trophy. So, even if you didn’t help or were worried about a stage making that far, all you need to do is beat enough stages to get to the boss and defeat them.
While it stands to reason Aspyr/Digital Continue will fix this or at least reset it, anyone who wants to get the trophy might want to boot it up and play. Be warned, if someone decides to push the boss, players will have to do up to 30 stages to get back to that point. At the time of posting the boss is at 0 percent health and you should start about 10 levels away.
Finally, for anyone interested in the accessories, these are all the drops I got from messing with the boss. Please note, I think this is all of them, since I stopped getting drops, but there may or may not be more:
