Just ahead of Gamescom happening later this week, Team Ninja has now released a new trailer for Dead or Alive 6. The new trailer confirms that Leifang and Hitomi are joining the game once again. Leifang is a DOA original while Hitomi debuted back in Dead or Alive 3.
Anyway, today’s new trailer shows a lot of cool footage from both of the fighters. We also get to see a new stage that shows a Kraken can actually attack fighters. If you don’t know what the Kraken is, it’s a huge octopus!

Two more iconic characters return to fight in the #DOA6 tournament. Leifang, T’ai Chi Ch’uan prodigy, returns using a variety of effective holds to gracefully counter enemy attacks, all the while hoping to prove her strength and capabilities as she pushes forward through the DOA Tournament. Joining Leifang is “The Fist of Innocence,” Hitomi. Hitomi being a Karate expert, specializes in using techniques that combine both offensive and defensive elements in one smooth strike. [New Stage] The two fighters will be highlighted at Gamescom on a freshly-added stage entitled Forbidden Fortune. The dynamic level features the ruins of an old pirate ship, with shattered bones scattered across the top deck, and mountains of gold found below as combatants smash through to the hull to find not only the hidden treasure, but a slew of hidden traps, not to mention, a giant Kraken guarding the stolen loot.
Gamescom is happening later this week so we should see more gameplay footage from Dead or Alive 6 very soon. Hopefully in the full game we have access to even more costumes too. DOA 6 will be released in early 2019 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Check out today’s new trailer below.
